Itinerary
Day 1: Moshi/Arusha – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree):
The expedition commences with a journey to the Londorossi Gate, followed by a trek through enchanting rainforests leading to the Mti Mkubwa campsite. • Distance: Approximately 15 km • Duration: 6-7 hours • Temperature: 15°C - 25°C • Landscape: Dense rainforest, diverse vegetation.

Day 2: : Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 Camp:
Ascending through the Shira plateau, you will witness the transformation of landscapes and panoramic views, culminating in the Shira 1 campsite. • Distance: Around 10 km • Duration: 5-6 hours • Temperature: 10°C - 20°C • Landscape: Alpine meadows, open moorlands.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp – Moir Hut:
The journey continues to the Moir Hut, offering a unique experience amidst the stunning alpine desert and glacial valleys. • Distance: Approximately 12 km • Duration: 6-7 hours • Temperature: 5°C - 15°C • Landscape: High alpine desert, rocky terrain.

Day 4: : Moir Hut – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp:
Trekking past the iconic Lava Tower, you will descend to the Barranco Camp, witnessing the unique Barranco Wall and its breathtaking views. • Distance: About 10 km • Duration: 5-6 hours • Temperature: 0°C - 10°C • Landscape: Alpine desert, lava formations.
Destination: Moir Hut Camp To Buffalo Camp

Day 5: : Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
Navigating challenging terrain, you will conquer the Barranco Wall and reach the Karanga Camp, nestled in a scenic valley. • Distance: Approximately 5 km • Duration: 4-5 hours • Temperature: 5°C - 15°C • Landscape: Glacial valleys, rocky terrain.

Day 6: : Karanga Camp - Barafu Camp:
As you approach the Barafu Camp, the landscape becomes more rugged, preparing you for the final ascent to the summit. • Distance: Around 4 km • Duration: 3-4 hours • Temperature: -5°C to 5°C • Landscape: Rocky terrain, snow-covered slopes.
Destination: Karanga Camp To Barafu Camp

Day 7: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Back to Barafu Camp - Mweka Camp:
The summit day arrives, as you ascend to Uhuru Peak, savor the triumph, and descend to Barafu Camp before continuing to Mweka Camp. • Distance: 15 km ascent, 10 km descent • Duration: 14-16 hours • Temperature: -10°C to -5°C at the summit • Landscape: Glacial and snow-covered summit, rocky descents.
