Distance: Approximately 18 km Duration: 6-7 hours Temperature: 25°C to 10°C Terrain: Rainforest to heath Embark on the Machame Route, passing through dense rainforest. The trail gradually ascends, providing glimpses of Kilimanjaro's beauty. Arrive at Machame Camp, nestled in the heath zone, and soak in the changing landscape.

Day 2: Machame Camp Shira 2 Camp

 Machame Camp Shira 2 Camp

Distance: Approximately 9 km Duration: 4-6 hours Temperature: 20°C to 5°C Terrain: Moorland Ascend through moorland, catching panoramic views of Shira Plateau. Shira 2 Camp, situated near the Shira Cathedral, offers a unique perspective of the mountain.

Distance: Approximately 7 km Duration: 4-5 hours Temperature: 10°C to -5°C Terrain: Alpine desert Trek through the alpine desert, crossing the Karanga Valley. The day's shorter hike allows for rest and acclimatization at Karanga Camp.
